What is The Healthy Pet Gourmet¨?
The Healthy Pet Gourmet is the only vacuum-packed, frozen fresh, home-cooked food for pets that uses all USDA approved fit for human consumption ingredients.

Are The Healthy Pet Gourmet meals, dry or canned foods?
Neither. They are freshly cooked real foods formulated for pet nutritional needs just like what you would eat. The meals are vacuum packed and frozen to lock in nutrients and retain freshness in a way that dry and canned foods can‘t match.

What makes The Healthy Pet Gourmet¨ foods gourmet?
Gourmet is about taste, quality, nutrition, and service. Being Gourmet is about taking the utmost care. Our foods are so tasty, our President is happy to chow down on our products! Our ingredients are the same you would use to cook for your family. After many years of research into pet nutrition, our recipes have been formulated to meet your pet's taste, while satisfying all his nutritional needs. If your pet is having problems, we pride ourselves on finding a solution for you that is as unique as your pet.

What makes The Healthy Pet Gourmet foods healthier than all other foods?
To start with, our ingredients. Add to that our cooking and storing methods, and we simply can't be matched. Our foods are cooked completely, but minimally, to leave all nutrients in tact, and to destroy bacteria like salmonella that is found in 40% of the raw chicken approved for people to eat. They are vacuum packed and frozen fresh to retain their quality and freshness. Because our foods are fresh, we use no preservatives, or chemicals that can alter foods value and safety. Dry, canned, and raw foods can't compete with our quality in safety or in nutritional value.

Is The Healthy Pet Gourmet a veterinarian?
Our founder, Christie Shaver is not a veterinarian. After over 10 years of study about pet nutrition, she formulated our foods, based on the recommendations of top vets in the study of pet nutrition. If your pet is having serious health problems, you should always consult your vet. We work to provide solutions for your pet that are complementary to the methods used by holistic veterinarians.

How does it work?
Every other week, on the same day of the week, you will receive a delivery of 14 individual meals for your pet. They are vacuum packed and are frozen fresh. You should place them in your freezer until you are ready to thaw and serve.

Can I afford these products?
We believe the real question is can you afford NOT to use our products. Our prices are very competitive with lesser, so-called 'natural' products that are on the market. Check out the competitive price chart to see for yourself. Think about this: Did you know that pets eating home-cooked foods have been shown in studies to experience less illness, and to need fewer vet visits over the course of their lives? Think of the thousands you will save, as well as the heartbreak, by PREVENTING health problems by feeding a healthy diet, instead of trying to reverse health problems, once they appear. And think about this: If you're like most people we know, you enjoy your caramel macchiato caffeine fix as much as the next guy. If your 'fix' is worth $5 a day to you, what value do you place on the health of your pet?

What if my pet is allergic to a particular food?
Most pets suffer from irritation due to food contaminants, and artificial additives, instead of allergies to pure foodstuffs. However, if it is determined that your pet does have an allergy to an ingredient in any of our foods, we will gladly work with you to find an alternative feeding solution.

How long before I can expect to see results?
You will see changes in your pet almost immediately. The stool is generally the first thing to show signs of change. Give your pet at least 1 month to start to witness changes, 6 weeks, for a better level of health, and up to 4 months to really obtain optimal health. Why so long? Because we try to help your pet make positive changes the natural way, and you can't rush the body. It will take 14 weeks before your pet is receiving the optimal amount of vitamins and minerals in addition to the basic THPG diet.

What do I do with the empty delivery bags?
We request that you return your last delivery bag to us at your next delivery. See the Delivery Section for how. If you forget, that's ok; we'll give you a second chance. If you don't return your delivery bags to us after 2 delivery cycles, we will assume you love our bags so much you want to keep them. You will be charged a nonrefundable $8 for small delivery bags, and $13.50 for large delivery bags at this time.

What if my pet has health problems?
Tell us about them! Many pets are healed through healthy eating. We would love to offer you possible solutions for your pet.

Should my pet take supplements? What if I already have supplements my pet loves?
If your pet is already taking supplements he loves, tell us and we won't add ours to your food.

Should my pet eat all of the contents of one bag?
Pets, like people, all have similar, but slightly different needs. If your pet's metabolism is slightly higher or lower than the average pet his size, he may need to eat slightly less, or more than our meals provide. You know your pet best. If he begins to gain unwanted weight, cut him back. If he loses weight he needs, add more.

If I have leftover food what should I do with it?
Whatever you want. An opened bag shouldn't be kept around for more than 3 days.

What if I ‘m going on vacation and won ‘t be here to receive my food?
Let us know at least 1 week in advance of your next scheduled delivery and we will be happy to hold your delivery until you return. Want to make sure you have enough THPG foods for the trip? Notify us at least 2 weeks before your next scheduled delivery and we will be happy to work out a solution so your pet has all the food he needs.

What is The Healthy Pet Gourmet¨ "Cancellation Policy"?
The Healthy Pet Gourmet¨ requires Ten (10) Business Days Notice for any and all Cancellations to be processed.

Cancellations may be tendered by E-mail to info@thpg.com, Facsimile to (212) 769-1209 or by Registered Mail @ 185 West End Avenue, Suite 10M, New York, New York 10023. You are advised to maintain a copy of your E-mail, facsimile confirmation or registered mail receipt to document your request.

Upon receipt of your Cancellation Notice as referenced above, the resulting Refund Credit issued will be only for the portion of your planned delivery that occurs after the mandatory Ten (10) Business Day Notice. This is the unused portion of your plan (i.e. the days in which food was not delivered). You will receive a refund for any days in which deliveries were not sent. Delivery will continue to occur until the end of the Ten (10) Business Day Notice

Any and all days in which meals were delivered will be pro-rated to The Healthy Pet Gourmet¨ Retail Price as indicated on your sales receipt, plus the applicable State Sales Tax. Delivery fees are nonrefundable.
